GeneralWe’re getting’ requests…and it never ceases to amaze me…that after more than a decade of the exact same rules, you still can’t remember ‘em. So here they are…for the feeble of mind and for those who need to remember to take their memorise. Man we’re a bunch of weak poolers. Do you need some water wings? How about a nose clip and some ear plugs?? There’s no lifeguard on duty so read on & proceed at your own risk…and potential peril.

Round points:
5-7-10-15-20-25

UDog Bonus:
For the first two rounds only, (or for the entire first weekend) picks can get you an underdog bonus. It works like this…if you pick a higher seed to beat the favorite, you will get the points for that round (5 or 7) PLUS the difference in seeds. That’s right. Here in the land of MM, we mix it up a bit and try to give you some props for picking Sisters of the Poor State over the heavily-favored, lower seed. In other words, if you pick Central Play-in State (cuz you like their logo, no doubt) to become the first 16 to ever beat off a #1 seed, you’re a MORON. But if this is the year that the biggest upset of them all finally comes down, you’ll be the only one in the pool to get 5 points for that game. That should be more than enough of a reward, but as a special bonus (and much to Shub99’s chagrin), we grant the UDog Bonus ‘on top’ of the round points. So you can call yer buddies and brag up the extra 15 points (16 -1 for the ou812 mathers among us) you brought home with Cinderella's VICTORY!!!!

Tie Breakers:
First Tie breaker is total pts in championship game (above or below)
Second Tie breaker is points for the Champion (the one you picked, regardless of who the winner turns out to be)
Third Tie breaker is number of correct teams in the F4
Fourth Tie breaker goes to the highest bribe (sealed bid :)

Regularities:
The standings are updated daily…and depending on where Bracketboy watches the games, sometimes more frequently. (Round) Updates are rendered at the end of each day’s action. Most of the time they will be there by the time you wipe the crust off your lip in the am (or pm if yer name is Festivus) and fire up yer pot –of coffee. But there have been times in past tourneys where the evening's iron has been a little unkind to Bracketboy and it takes most of the morning to shake off the shakes. When that happens, the updates'll be there before the next day's tip.

The top three spots qualify for something at the end of this thing, that is tbd based on several factors including participation. If yer in a spot with a shot, email me and I’ll let you know how it works out. In addition to the Top 3, we also kick back for the person with the most UDogs and the happliest pooler who finishes dead last.

We reserve the right to reject brackets, based on your picks. Example: you send in a sheet with all the UDogs, it will be rejected. Yeah you’ll get yer name in lights, but it wouldn’t be pretty anyway…nor make any $ense, since there’s nothing in it for you except to waste everyone’s time. If this describes you, beat it.

So login, grab the bracket and make yer picks. Send ‘em in and sit back. Cuz once the tip goes up, you’re locked in for all 63. There’s nothing you can do to get over yerself except win. And trust me, nearly everyone submits their picks with the subject line “The winning picks” or “MM10 winner attached.” Yer all so clever. So good luck, the venom is building up…here’s to Bracketboy’s return to glory…or it’s gunna get real ugly for some of our newbies.

Happy swimming-
MM Management
